The British Heart Foundation (BHF) Scotland is calling for Peterhead people to become Heart Heroes and use some of their spare time to volunteer for the nation’s heart charity.
The BHF are always on the lookout for more volunteers to join the fight against heart disease.
You can get involved in a number of ways from becoming a volunteer driver and merchandising clothes, shoes and accessories to window dressing, working behind the till and administration work.
They are keen to hear from anyone who has a few hours to spare.
Volunteering with BHF Scotland for just half a day a month could fund one scientist to carry out life saving research for an hour, but giving time doesn’t just benefit the charity.
Volunteering offers a great way to meet new people, use existing skills, boost CVs and help in the hunt for a new job.
Many members of BHF Scotland paid Shop Management joined as volunteers and work in a range of positions from Assistants, Shop Managers right up to Area Managers.
BHF Scotland shops always needs more stock.
Unwanted items help fill the shop shelves and raise valuable funds in the fight against heart disease.
