Or you can contact Peterhead Rotary president John Johnston via email at email@example.com
A panel of judges will have the difficult task of picking winners on December 15 and there will be three prizes for each category.
Peterhead president John Johnston told us: “The digital camera has revolutionised the photographic world with instant results and the end of the concept that the camera never lies.
“As a talent, and an art form, Rotary International of Great Britain and Ireland (RIBI) celebrates the photographic skills of thousands of young people with a sequence of competitions that give them the chance to demonstrate and display just what they can do.”
John added: “Everyone has a great chance of being a winner in the RIBI Young Photographer competition. We are particularly keen to get in lots of entries from Buchan’s schools where, we are sure, there is a wealth of young, untapped photographic talent.”
The theme is ‘People’ and it is very important that entrants relate their photographs to the chosen subject.
Winning entries from each category will go forward to the district heats and thereafter to the national final if successful.
Rotary will require a digital copy of any pictures taken for forwarding in the event of qualification.
John added: “We also intend to produce a 2014 calendar with a picture from every school in Peterhead which will be available to buy around Christmas time with proceeds to local charities.”
