A LOCAL family run business is re-locating to Peterhead due to expansion.
Phoenix Social Care is run by husband and wife team Chris and Dee Penfold and Dee’s cousin Charlotte Hunt, who together have over 30 years combined experience in social care.
The Phoenix Social Care team closed their Mintlaw office doors on Friday, where they had been located since January 2011.
Work in their new office above DFS Sports on Marischal Street only began yesterday (Monday) but already they are focusing on maintaining their high quality service.
Phoenix Social Care provide care at home and housing support to people of all ages and abilities including those who need a bit of extra help after an accident, those with special needs and learning disablities and people of an older generation.
Their aim is to provide quality care while letting people be independent in their own homes as much as possible.
Phoenix Social Care recently received a boost after passing a recent unannounced inspection by the Care Inspectorate.
Training manager and partner, Dee Penfold said: “What makes us stand out is the fact we support our staff. We are hands on managers and understand the complex roles of our staff. We are proud to have such a professional team of staff caring for our community..
“We are very proud that we employ local staff and in these tough economic times we have built this business from scratch and are able to give back to the community.
“There are so many bad press stories at the moment about care, people are worried about who to turn to but we are one of the good ones and we don’t want people to be afraid to come and speak to us.”
Charlotte said: “Our success is all down to our staff and the care they provide.”
