Seletar will continue to provide support to Subsea 7 after winning the two-year contract extension.

Following the successful completion of an initial 12 month agreement, the new contract, which commences on 1 April 2014, will see the Seletar provide port agency and ancillary services to the firm.

These services include gangway security and crew change logistics services for the ports of Peterhead and Aberdeen.

Seletar Managing Director, Shaun Eardley said: “The new contract award is of significant value to Seletar and cements our position as the provider of choice for marine support services in the north east of Scotland to one of the world’s leading subsea companies.

“We anticipate that activity levels will increase significantly next summer, at which point consideration will be given to recruiting additional staff to fulfil the requirements of the contract.”
