North-east bakers Murdoch Allan have joined the Light Up Peterhead campaign and launched specially-iced empire biscuits.
The Hatton-based firm are donating 75p from every £1 sale to the campaign which hit its £5,000 target on Thursday last week.
The bakery, which has shops in Peterhead, Fraserburgh, Turriff, Hatton and Mintlaw, has supported charity initiatives before.
Production manager Katrina Allan said: “We did this for the Rock Challenge and it was really successful.
“We raised a couple of hundred quid that time but it’s more about raising awareness.”
Both Peterhead branches are also displaying charity window posters to further raise the profile of the campaign to bring Christmas lights back to the town centre.
Meanwhile, while the contractors have been booked to get the lights erected mid-November, the fundraising campaign continues in earnest to bolster the target for next year’s campaign.
Collections tins have been distributed throughout the Blue Toon in a bid to raise cash, and with a Peterhead-flavoured pub quiz being hosted in the Buchanhaven Hearts Social Club on Friday, November 22.
It costs £20 for teams of four to compete in the quiz which has prizes and raffles.
Then on November 30 at the Festive Fair in Peterhead the likes of Get Rhythm and Theatre Modo have come onboard to support the Light Up Peterhead campaign and add to the festive fun in the heart of the town.
