A leading North-east safety firm has formed a strategic alliance with EPIT, a hazardous and industrial areas training specialist, following demand for highly specialised training in the North-east.
Falck Safety Services (Falck), which has 36 training centres worldwide, including four UK sites in Peterhead, Aberdeen, Montrose and Teesside, can now offer EPIT’s hazardous area explosion protection training to the oil and gas and related industries.
EPIT is an approved certified CompEx centre that offers the nationally recognised courses to electrical and instrumentation technicians.
In addition, EPIT’s Competency Plus Programme includes a range of Ex, ATEX, Mechanical, High Voltage/Low Voltage and Electrical Safety courses, all of which are accredited by City and Guilds.
With a large range of EPIT courses being introduced to Falck’s training portfolio, the safety provider will now offer a realistic and simulated training environment allowing electrical and instrumentation technicians to meet national competence standards.
Falck’s delegates will undertake the specialised training at EPIT’s custom-built facility in Blackburn, Aberdeen, equipping them with the technical expertise to handle hazardous area equipment on and offshore.
