An invitation has been extended to parents of pupils at Peterhead Academy and the public at large to attend this year’s career fair.

The event takes place on Tuesday (March 1), with pupils attending an afternoon session and the doors opening to the wider public from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.

Around 30 organisations, including universities, colleges, employers and other groups, will be in attendance, many of which are actively seeking applications, positions and opportunities they have available.

The public session is being held to provide an opportunity for others, including the wider community, to see what is on offer.

Anyone is welcome to attend, including senior students who may wish to return for a second visit.

The event may be of particular benefit to young people who are seeking information on potential career routes and the subject and qualification requirements of each.

No appointment is necessary and people are free to arrive and leave at any point from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.

Among those organisations in attendance will be Aberdeenshire Association of Civil Engineers, Aberdeenshire Council, Aberdeen Council, Aberdeenshire Voluntary Action, Anderson, Anderson & Brown, Aberdein Considine, the Army, Army Cadets, Bank of Scotland, Clyde Marine Training, Johnston Carmichael, The Navy, NESCoL, Peterhead Priosn, Robert Gordon University, the Royal Air Force, Score Group, the Scottish Maritime Academy, Stem Ambassador, the University of Aberdeen, Vroom Offshore.
