Ambitious Peterhead businesses with high growth potential are being given the chance to receive expert mentoring and support.

The fifth Enterprise Partnership Scotland (EPS) scheme has been launched and north-east companies and entrepreneurs are being urged to apply for the ‘master class in business development’.

Successful applicants will enjoy a programme packed with workshops, delivered by a range of specialists across a number of sectors, including finance, human resources and recruitment, law, marketing and public relations.

Throughout the course of the project, participants will also benefit from a series of residential sessions, presentations from motivational speakers, tailor-made consulting and networking opportunities.

Co-ordinated by Ewan Neilson, senior partner of Stronachs, as well as Carolyn Maniukiewicz from Ideas in Partnership and Jacky Baltissen from EnValue, EPS was launched in December 2004 and has successfully supported scores of Scottish businesses.

The project is sponsored by a number of north-east organisations, all of whom provide invaluable guidance to businesses taking part in the scheme.

Carolyn Maniukiewicz, of Ideas in Partnership, said EPS targets companies with high growth potential – from new businesses to those looking to change direction, possible management buy outs or university spin offs.

She commented: “It’s essential that budding entrepreneurs are encouraged and mentored to rapidly roll-out their business plans and strategies.

“Talented individuals need more than simply funding and our EPS scheme provides an exceptional opportunity for unrivalled support.

Carolyn added: “With applications now open we would urge anyone interested in reaping the rewards from the programme to get in touch.”

Applications must be submitted online at by noon on Friday, January 31, 2014.
