The management team at Buchan Community Radio have extended their thanks to listeners following their very successful first FM trial at Christmas.
Everything went according to plan and there were no technical hitches throughout the week, and the station hopes to receive another trial FM licence in the summer.
Presenter Johnny Logan said: “We would like to thank the whole of Peterhead for their support, everyone listened to us and we want to do it all again!”
Station director Ronnie Arthur added :”We would also like to thank local businesses for their sponsorships and Willowbank Day Centre and the Salvation Army for letting us make and broadcast programmes.
“We also received anonymous donations from listeners so that will go towards the station.”
BCR received good feedback from listeners and because of this, the station is planning to apply for another trial FM period in July to coincide with Scottish Week.
Listeners of BCR will also be glad to know that the station will be back on FM at Christmas from December 20 to 28.
Ronnie said: “If any local companies would like to sponsor us then please get in touch with us at the station.
“We are also looking for more volunteers to help in the office and at various events.”
