Aldi has announced it is recruiting 19 more members of staff, including two managerial roles, for its recently opened store in Ellon.
The store, which opened in September this year, already employs 18 members of staff, and is now looking to recruit two deputy store managers, two stock assistants and 15 store assistants. Aldi is looking for candidates who have significant retail or people management experience to fill its Deputy Store Manager positions. This is a vital role within Aldi’s stores, as individuals assist the day-to-day running and performance of their store and help manage the retail team.
For the Store Assistant roles, key responsibilities for successful candidates include accurate and efficient till operation, and stock management and merchandising. Full training will be provided over a 12 week period.
Aldi offers unrivalled responsibility and financial rewards. Salaries start from £8.95 per hour for deputy store managers, with a £3.85 bonus for running the store.
Store Assistant salaries start from £7.95, rising to £9.40 over four years, and for stock assistants, £7, rising to £7.10 after one year.
The store in Ellon has 117 car parking spaces and features around 1,350 product lines. Aldi prides itself on the high quality of its produce, so shoppers can expect fresh, locally sourced food throughout the store – Aldi in Scotland works closely with around 70 Scottish suppliers to source over 250 products across its 53 existing stores.
Aldi area manager, David Mason, said: “Aldi Ellon currently has a hard working team of employees. Now we are looking for more fantastic individuals to add to the store.
“Aldi has a track record of developing talent and rewarding high performing individuals. We’re looking to attract applicants from a diverse range of backgrounds, who can demonstrate relevant experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.”
The store is open Monday to Saturday 8am to 9pm and Sunday 10am to 7pm.
