Stuart Petrie, Manager of the new Co-operative Food store in Mintlaw, said: “We will operate in the heart of the community and by doing so we will provide an ideal location for people to shop locally. It is important that we meet the needs of local people and provide a welcoming environment in which to shop.
“The new store will freshen up the shopping experience of the town and improve the vitality of the area, so I look forward to welcoming customers into the new store.”
Local children from Mintlaw Primary School will be helping the store manager cut the ribbon to the new store on Thursday, May 23.
The school will receive £200 as a thank you for their help opening the store, and they will be presented with a hamper of fresh produce and Fairtrade items to take back to school.
