On Wednesday, November 28, Deer Parish Church Prayer Group will meet in Old Deer Church from 6.30pm to 7.15pm.
Peterhead Methodist Church Sisterhood will have their minister, the Rev. Isobel Akers, as their speaker at the meeting on Wednesday, November 28 at 7.15pm. All ladies are very welcome.
St Andrew’s Parish Church Guild has a craft evening on Wednesday, November 28 at 7.30pm, when there will be a Cupcake Demonstration.
With our world having to cope with so much bad news it is easy to forget at times there is good news which the Bible calls the gospel. A final reminder is given of the three evenings of talks on the “Power of the gospel. The good news!”
These have been arranged by the Rev. Abi Ngunga, minister of St Andrew’s Church, Queen Street, Peterhead, and he and his congregation give an open invitation to attend the three talks from Wednesday, November 28 to Friday, November 30 at 7.30pm each evening.
Dr Abi will develop and illustrate the theme of the “Power of the Gospel” to help his hearers to understand and experience what the Gospel is, does and demands.
Tea and coffee will be provided each evening and all are welcome.
St Peter’s Episcopal Church, Merchant Street, is having a Christmas Buttery Morning with the usual stalls on Saturday, December 1 from 10am to 12noon. Admission is £2.
Cruden ‘Messy Church’ arranged by the Parish Church will meet in Cruden Bay Village Hall on Thursday, November 29 at 3.30pm.
On Friday, November 30, Cruden Parish Church will hold a St Andrew’s Night dinner in Longhaven Hall. Tickets are available from Betty Forrester on 01779 841205.
With Sunday, December 2 being Advent Sunday, in St Drostan’s Episcopal Church, Old Deer, there will be a celebration of the Eucharist at 9.30am that morning.
Deer Parish Church has intimated that morning worship in Old Deer Church at 10.20am on Sunday, December 2, will be led by the Rev. Sheila Kirk. Everyone is invited and welcome.
The Sunday School meets at the same time and creche facilities are available during the service. There will be tea served after the close of worship.
The monthly gathering of the Messy Church at Peterhead Methodist Church, Queen Street, is on Saturday, December 1, commencing at 10.30am. This is an opportunity for families to get together to share in activities, crafts, worship and fun. The theme on this occasion is the exciting one of “Christmas”.
There is no charge for attending but those intending to be there are asked to ensure that children come with an adult relative. All are welcome.
Supporters of Blythswood Care are advised that the charity’s collecting vehicle will be making its last visit fot the year to Peterhead and district on Thursday, December 13, calling at Peterhead, Crimond and Fraserburgh at the regular times as scheduled.
The Peterhead Old Parish Church Senior Ladies’ Fellowship will be in festive mood on Monday, December 3, that being the date of their Christmas Party.
