Your favourite weekly newspaper is set to undergo somewhat of a transformation on November 29.
We have listened to our readers and will be relaunching under the new name of 'The Buchanie', going back to basics with more local news, features and nostalgia.
Staff have been busy over the past few months working on the new-look title, which will also be on sale at a reduced price of just 75p.
Subscriptions for The Buchanie have been re-introduced, while vouchers will also be available allowing readers to purchase the paper for just 35p for the first four weeks.
Buchanie editor, Morag Kuc, said: "Johnson Press have taken on board the many comments from readers and advertisers on the direction the paper was taking with regards to local news.
"We were given a remit to return the Buchan Observer to its roots, allowing us to get back to basics and get our reporters out and about in the community to gather the local news at its source.
"The Buchanie will relaunch on Tuesday and we hope that our readers will appreciate our efforts, with a focus on local nostalgia, a local entertainment section and, most importantly, local news."
