Buchan Heritage Society celebrates 30 years

The Buchan Heritage Society have organised a number of celebratory events to mark their 30th year.

The group held a 30th Anniversary dinner at the Ban Car Hotel, Lonmay on Saturday, March 29.

Members and guests celebrated with a toast from Robbie Shepherd and after dinner speaker, Debbie Lesley.

Entertainment for the night was provided by Robert Lovie and John Bone.

Everyone had an exceptionally good evening with five of the founding members in attendance.

The Buchan Heritage Society have organised a Grand Concert at the Ritchie Hall, Strichen on Friday, April 25.

The concert will start at 7pm with tickets priced at £5.

Taking part in the evening include compere Robert Lovie and guest Robbie Shepherd.

Artists performing are Paul Anderson, Joe Aitken, Elizabeth Stewart, Nicola Auchnie, Steven Eddie, Bill Gray, Peter Chapman, Rosie Stephen, Pamela Whyte, Gregor Alan, Ian Forsyth, The Heritage Players, The Marlene Lowe Dancers, Morven Seivwright, Murray Douglas, Nadia Raduncheva, Shona Donaldson and Ian Forsyth.

They have also planned a 30th Anniversary Festival to take place from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 May.
