EVENTS will be held in Peterhead next week to support a Fraserburgh family who have been appealing for help and support to get vital therapeutic treatment for their son Ethan.

Ethan who is 6, suffers from severa autism, global developmental delay and epilepsy. As a result of his autism he has no speech and finds life very challenging. Ethan’s family hope to raise enough funds to take him abroad for Dolphin assisted therapy in which he will swim with dolphins and receive therapy from marine biological psychologists to try to help his autism in any way.

The campaign has successfully raised almost £2000 in Fraserburgh alone since it was launched in November.

Mrs Scott was “delighted” with the support the received from brocher’s alone and hopes that some added events in Peterhead, organised by Mrs West from the Harvest Church will get them to the total they were hoping for.

The money raised so far means the deposit for Ethan’s treatment can be paid, “We will fly out to Marmaris on September 12 and Ethan’s therapy will start the following day, September 13” she said.

The total cost of Ethan’s therapy is 4590 Euros, so the family are nearly half way to achieving their goal and have devised a programme of fundraising events to achieve their target.

A quiz will be held at Peterhead’s Harvest Church on Thursday, February 3 from 7pm and a soup and sweet will be held on Friday, February 4 between 12 and 2pm. Both events cost £4 per adult and £2 per child. For more information please contact Mrs West on 07786776787.
