As part of ‘sound’, the North East Scotland’s festival of new music, Aden Country Park will be hosting ‘Daniel’s Beard: Music and Nonsense’ this Friday (November 16) at 1pm in the Aberdeenshire Farming Museum Theatre.

Daniel’s Beard will play new music for all the family including the performance of pieces written by local primary school children based on settings of the nonsense poems of Edward Lear and Lewis Carroll - Jabberwocky, The Owl and The Pussycat and The Quangle-Wangle’s Hat - by Lenny Sayers. The concerts will also feature music by Scottish composers old and new, each piece with its own tale to tell. Daniel’s Beard is a chamber ensemble made up of some of Scotland’s top musicians and based in Glasgow’s West End.

Tickets for the event are £8, £5 (concessions) and free for school children. Due to the small nature of the Aden Theatre seating may well be at a premium so please book early to avoid disappointment.
