Volunteer lifeboat crew at Peterhead’s RNLI station have been presented with a donation of £25,000 by a dedicated supporter of the RNLI.
Audrey Wood raised the money by hosting a “Glamour, Glitz, and Bubbles” event in Aberdeen back in March.
Around 250 ladies enjoyed an excellent meal, entertainment, dancing and fun.
Volunteer crew from various North East Stations went along to support this event, and not only did they tell the audience about their life-saving work and how much they appreciated the support, they also entertained the ladies by acting as dancers and waiters during the event.
Audrey’s charity efforts over the past number of years has raised over £100,000 for the RNLI.
The RNLI is a charity that relies on voluntary donations and legacies from the public for its income.
