Peterhead Salvation Army’s Elderly Citizens’ Fellowship is to meet on Wednesday, January 18, at 2.15pm.
Then on Thursday, January 19, Totzone will be at 10am and 1pm. However, there is a waiting list at present for this particular activity. Anyone wishing to have their names added to it is asked to contact the captains on 470208.
Peterhead Methodist Church Sisterhood will meet on Wednesday, January 18, at 7.15 pm when Sena Allan will be welcomed as the guest speaker.
This year marks the 125th anniversary of the Faith Mission and New Year Rallies are being held as follows – Thursday, January 19, in Footdee Mission Hall, Aberdeen; Friday, January 20, in Peterhead Baptist Church Hall; and on Saturday, January 21, in Bethesda Church, Fraserburgh – all these meetings commence at 7.30pm.
The speaker is Viktor Mezger and there will be a time of fellowship, sharing Bible ministry and receiving Mission news. All are welcome.
On Thursday, January 19, the Blythswood Care collecting vehicle will visit Peterhead and district.
The locations are the former Focus car park, off Catto Drive, from 9.30am to 12.30pm; then, after calling at Crimond at 1.15pm, the vehicle will be at Fraserburgh Leisure Centre for the remainder of the afternoon until 4.30pm. All donations are received most gratefully.
Trinity Parish Chuch Work Party, Peterhead, is having a buttery morning on Saturday, January 21, from 10am till 12 noon. Admission is £2 and there will be the usual stalls also. This is being held in aid of Ekwendeni Hospital and all are welcome.
The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity has come round once again the actual dates being January 18 to 25 inclusive.
On Friday, January 20, the friends at St. Drostan’s Episcopal Church, Old Deer, and also those at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Longside, are welcome to join in the Burns’ Night celebration arranged by St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Peterhead, commencing at 7 pm.
Morning worship and the children’s Sunday Club will be at 10 am on Sunday, January 22. The Kirk Session meets on Monday, January 23, in the hall at 7.30pm.
There will be a family service in St. Drostan’s Episcopal Church, Old Deer, on Sunday, January 22, at 11am and this is to be followed by the AGM.
On Sunday, January 22, morning worship in Old Deer Church is at 10.30am led by the Rev. Sheila Kirk. All are welcome. The Sunday School meets also and crèche facilities are available during the service. Later that day in Fetterangus Church at 6pm a Praise Evening will be led by members of the Prayer Group.
This is the final of four “Invitation Evenings” where members of groups within the church have been invited to lead the service. All are welcome. There will be teas and fellowship after the service.
A warm invitation is extended to join in the Fishermen’s Mission Nightcap in Peterhead on Sunday, January 22, at 8pm.
Also at the Fishermen’s Mission every Tuesday evening at 7.15pm there is the meeting of the Ladies’ Guild.
Peterhead Baptist Church Senior Citizens Fellowship will meet on Thursday, January 19 at 2.15pm. The speaker is the church paster David Wilson.
An act of worship to mark the Week of Prayer referred to above will take place in the manse of Cruden Parish Church on Tuesday, January 24, at 7.30pm.
St. Andrew’s Church Guild Burns’ Supper is on Wednesday, January 25, at 7pm
On Friday January 20 Peterhead Salvation Army will host its Planet Kidz Club from 6pm to 7.30pm followed by the Youth Drop-in from 8pm to 9.30pm;
On Saturday, January 21 the Messy Church runs from 1pm until 3pm;
On Sunday, January 22 Worship is at 1pm and 3pm (Please note there will be no 6pm worship.)
Special guests for the entire weekend will be Captains Alasdair and Lucy Mann of Greenock Salvation Army.
