Are you a past or present member of Fraserburgh’s amateur dramatic society and want to support and nurture its future?
If so, the Fraserburgh Junior Arts Society (FJAS) is holding its annual general meeting (AGM) on Monday, March 17.
The AGM will be held in Fraserburgh’s Dalrymple Hall and Arts Centre on Monday, March 17, at 7.30pm. If you are a member please come along and give your views regarding the future for the society.
Commenting, FJAS president John Gibson said: “2013 was a very busy and successful year for the FJAS as we celebrated our Diamond Jubilee with many well-attended shows and events.
“The highlight of our Jubilee celebrations was the Anniversary Dance which brought together past and present members from near and far, bringing back fond memories for many people.
“During the course of the year there was also our Easter Dance Festival, Jazz Lunch, summer production of “Honk”, performances by groups from the Aberdeen International Youth Festival, and shows by other visiting theatre groups; not forgetting our own theatre workshops which go on throughout the year.
“Other great successes were the Santa’s Grotto, the Christmas Pantomime and an all-day film screening which was sold-out twice over.
“At this AGM we want to discuss what the next 60 years will bring for our society as well as what will next year bring? We are excited to discuss which shows to perform and what events to arrange, but these answers depend on our members.
“We want past and present members to attend the AGM and give us their opinions – their voices really do count.”
