The Aden Country Park allotments and community garden project is to hold its second public meeting on Monday, August 13 at 6.30pm in the Aberdeenshire Farming Museum.
The meeting is being organised as part of an ‘Investing in Ideas’ Big Lottery-funded project.
Buchan Development Partnership are working with Aberdeenshire Council and the Friends of Aden Country Park to establish whether the local Buchan community would like to see the development of allotments and community gardens in the grounds of the award-winning Aden Country Park.
The focus of the night will be to go through the recently produced Aden Allotments & Community Gardens Report, to discuss formally constituting the group, and to look at examples of successful funding applications from other allotment sites.
Aden development worker Neil Shirran said: “We’ve had some really positive feedback from the local Buchan community regarding the proposed development of an allotment and community garden site in Aden Country Park.
“In this follow up meeting we will start to formalise the group and look at ways to raise the required funding to develop the idea.”
Interested parties should contact Neil Shirran on 01771 613584 or firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm their attendance of the allotment and community garden meeting.
