Rock band Big Country played Fraserburgh Leisure Centre last month to the delight of many music fans.
The band were supported by Target 5 at the gig on Saturday, May 16.
Event organisers Martin Bain, Bryan Falconer and Ian Robertson said: “The night was a huge success with a fantastic turn out from the local community and people from the surrounding areas - people even came as far as Birmingham to see the concert.
“We saw Big Country playing in Huntly last year and thought that the Broch could easily accommodate these types of concerts with venues as big as the Leisure Centre so we went for it and we are glad we did as it was a brilliant night.”
It was so good that the band want to come back to the Broch for another gig as they explained: “Fraserburgh was a great success, the sports centre was packed out with enthusiastic fans and we shall return.”
Support band Target 5 started the night off and the crowd loved them.
Big Country performed a set full of their greatest hits including In a Big Country, Fields of Fire, Look Away and Chance.
The brilliant 90 minute set was followed by an encore and the gig left fans feeling ecststic.
The organisers added: “Standing in the middle of it all seeing everybody enjoying themselves made the 10 months of organising worthwhile.
“We are hoping to make this an annual event - we are currently talking to other bands about coming to Fraserburgh so hopefully soon we will be announcing some dates for next year.”
They have confirmed that Big Country will be back in the Broch on May 14 2016, supported by the brilliant Madness tribute band, Complete Madness.
