Theatre Modo is looking for marshalls for the Shell Fireworks Parade on Friday, October 31.

Volunteer Marshalls should be 1-plus, although there are also volunteering opportunities for those aged 16 years plus..

The Shell Fireworks Parade is in Aden Country Park, Mintlaw yet again this year, creating a wild and wonderful walk through Aden Country Park.

Following the success of the event in previous years, the event will be an enchanted night-time walk with performers and creations bringing the woods to life.

This year it lands on Hallowe’en itself so there will be a few surprises in store.

Following on from Pandemonium (2009), Fantasmagoria ( 2010), Leviathan (2011), Maelstrom (2012) and Aden-een 2013, Modo is working with school, youth and community groups to create Aden-een, the Shell Fireworks Parade 2014, a sensational celebration of talent, culture and community.

Aden-een is a youth regeneration project led by Modo in partnership with Shell UK, Aden Country Park, Buchan Development Partnership, Community Planning Partnership and Aberdeenshire Council.

In order to ensure the smooth and safe passage of the performers and audience Modo is looking for around 50 marshalls.

Marshalls would need to attend a briefing session before the event (date, time and location to be confirmed) and then be in attendance on Friday, October 31, from 5.30pm untilthe end of the performance.

Theatre Modo will provide full briefing and the obligatory high viz vests.

Duties on the night will be to distribute leaflets, collect donations, keep areas clear of litter, accompany audience, keep paths clear, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of participants and audience.

However for the main part the stewards will still be free to enjoy and to watch the performance.

Security 1st Scotland are providing trained Stewards to manage the safety aspect of the event. There will be refreshments for volunteers.
