Make it a vintage tea date at heritage centre

It's going to be a busy Spring period for Buchanhaven Heritage Society.

Buchanhaven Heritage Society will be staging its popular “Vintage Tea” event on Saturday, September 19, between 12noon and 4pm.

This popular event will once again see old photographs and artefacts on display, while visitors enjoy their tea or coffee the traditional way from fine china and delicious homebakes and, of course, a warm welcome assured for old and new friends at the centre on the day.

Some of the photographs have never been on display before and will only be available to view on the day, before they are archived for future generations to enjoy and learn from so make sure you do not miss out and pay the centre a visit on the day.

Society chair, Alex Geddes, said: “ We are delighted to stage this popular event again which has always seen massive crowds turn out and quite often old friendships re-kindled and new ones made.

For some of the images on display this will be a one-off viewing, so if you are keen to see old photos of the town or some well kent locals this could be a great day out for many.

“For £3 you can enjoy your tea/coffee and lovely homebakes with all proceeds going to the centre refurbishment fund.”
