The Buchanhaven Heritage Society is busy preparing for a range of events at the centre starting with a Harvest buttery morning on Saturday, October 25, from 10am to 12 noon.
This event is to support funding for the refurbishment of the centre and the team hopes for a large turnout on the day.
Tea/coffee and buttery, or scone/pancake cost just £2 with all proceeds going to the refurbishment fund. Tickets are available at the centre or from members, however the event is open to all and pay on the day is very welcome.
They are following this event with a large Christmas Craft Fair on November 29, and the following day sees a Christmas cake competition and at the same time a Decorate your Tree competition.
Trees up to 4’ tall can be entered and they must be decorated at the centre. Judging will be undertaken by Katrina Allan and the team hopes this may become an annual event.
If you are keen to enter the cake or tree competition you can make contact by e-mail on email@example.com or call 01779 472872.
The competitions are open to all and for all age groups, so for some family fun why not test your skills and take part.
Society chair, Alex Geddes, said “ The centre has always been about family and what better a time for families to come together for some fun than these next few months.
“It would be great to see a large turnout for these events and depending on feedback we would hope to make this an annual event in our programme,” he added.
