Barclay Park Open Day

Barclay Park youths are holding their 10th anniversary Open Day on Saturday, September 13 from 10am to 4pm at the Barclay Park Pavilion (behind Morrisons).

Activities on the day include hook a duck, beat the goalie, car boots, music by Buchan Community Radio, bottle stall, street football, glitter tattoos, face painting, BBQ and various other stalls to ensure it is a fun day out for all the family!

As it’s the group’s 10th anniversary, they have decided to hold a Pride of Buchan Awards presentation.

This is an opportunity for the people of Buchan to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of outstanding people.

There will be three categories in the Pride of Buchan Awards; Junior (ages 5-15), Adult (16+) and Groups.

Nominees could include someone who has made a difference in their community, for example giving up their time to help others.

Nomination forms can be collected from the Community Centre and returned there.

Winners will be decided by the youths of Barclay Park.

The awards ceremony will be held at 2pm on the Open Day and nominees should attend this presentation.
