Award-winning nature photography on show

An exhibition featuring the winning images from the 2015 Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year competition will open in Mintlaw this weekend.

The event will launch on Saturday, July 2 at the Aden Theatre in Aden Country Park, Mintlaw.

The annual Scottish Nature Photography Awards attract entries from professional and amateur photographers from around the world and cover wildlife, landscape, environmental, botanical and abstract subjects photographed in Scotland, as well as junior and student categories.

Awards organiser Niall Irvine said: “We’re delighted to be opening this year’s winners’ exhibition at Aden Country Park.

“It’s very apt to show these stunning and diverse images of Scottish nature within an award-winning greenspace.”

The exhibition is open from 10am to 4pm daily (closed on Wednesdays) until Tuesday, August 2 when it will continue on its Scottish tour.
