Peterhead’s Mackie family will be back on our screens this week as STV’s popular series Coached Off The Couch makes a return.
Presenter Kelly Cates will be catching up with the Mackies from the first series and will be challenging them to pass on their new love of sport and being active to their friends and relatives, so they can feel great too.
Broadcast by STV last autumn, the first series followed a group of Scottish families, which included the The Mackies .
Dad Graeme (37), mum Linda (36) and their three children Liam (14), Gemma (11) and Lauren (7), were inspired to get healthy by trying out a brand new sport with the help of some of the nation’s top athletes.
This time round, the family are set a brand new challenge - to pass on their new found passion for an active lifestyle to friends, colleagues and relatives, by introducing their nearest and dearest to beach volleyball which took place at Peterhead’s Lido beach/marina.
The family were also visited by celebrity TV chef Eadie Manson who introduced the family to cooking healthy alternatives to include Eadie’s very famous the healthy pizza called a “Tortizza” .
The Mackie family will be on our screens again on Friday, June 14, at 8pm on STV.
