Exhibitions at Museum of Scottish Lighthouses

The Mueum of Scottish Lighthouses in Fraserburgh is to showcase local artists and craftworks in a series of special art and craft exhibitions to be held on a monthly basis.

Some of the work will be for sale with commission to support the Lighthouse.

Paintings, Photographs and Crafts high-lighting the Sea Birds of the North East Scottish Coast are being sought for an August exhibition. There will be a Best in Show voted for by visitors.

Paintings and Craft work have to be submitted on Saturday, July 27, to 12 noon and 2pm to 4pm. Rules and Entry forms are available from the Museum or by emailing justjill_uk@yahoo.co.uk.

Jill can also be contacted should anyone be interested in exhibiting at a future date.

Currently exhibiting are the Gardenstown Collective .

Entry to view the exhibitions is free to holders of an AB43 postcode.

Otherwise normal museum admission charges apply. The Stevenson Cafe is free to enter.

Meanwhile, kids activity mornings will also be held at the museum.

Following the extremely successful and enjoyable Pirate Themed ActivityMornings the July Craft Activities will centre on Sea Birds.

These will be held on Thursday mornings , July 11, 18, and 25 at a costof £2 per child.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.
