As part of the Aden Homecoming Fair, Aden Country Park is to screen two Scottish feel good films on Saturday, September 27.
Sunshine on Leith and Local Hero will be shown in the Aden Theatre, within the Aberdeenshire Farming Museum.
The new cinema venture is being undertaken by Buchan Development Partnership (BDP) and the Friends of Aden Country Park in partnership with NEAT (North East Arts Touring) Flicks and Aberdeenshire Council.
Neil Shirran, Aden Development Worker said: “We’re delighted to announce the start of the Aden Cinema initiative.
“We hope to show a range of films to a variety of different age groups. We have decided to initially focus on a Scottish theme to enable us to tie in with the Aden Homecoming Fair celebrations, and we hope that these much loved films will hit the spot with local audiences.”
Sunshine on Leith starts at 11am, with Local hero starting at 2pm.Both films are PG rated and last for approximately 1hr 45mins.
Not only will the events offer an enjoyable way to spend a morning or afternoon, but the timing of these screening have been planned to provide an ideal opportunity to visit the newly refurbished Aden Café before or after each screening.
Tickets are £5 each and can be bought from the Aden Craft and Gift Shop in Aden Country Park.
Due to the limited size of the Aden Theatre, those interested are advised to purchase tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.
