An Open Day will take place at the Aden Allotments on Saturday, June 21 to mark the scheme’s very first growing season.
The Open Day will run from 12pm to 4pm and entry is free.
There will be a number of food and bottle stalls, as well as face painting and planting for children.
Work first began at the allotments in July last year and a special plaque will be unvailed to mark the occasion by BBC’s Beechgrove Garden presenter Jim McColl at 12.15pm.
Viewers of the BBC programme will have seen the Mintlaw site featured in April and it will have three future television appearances to follow its progress.
At the moment, all 50 plots have been taken but a waiting list will be available at the Open Day with the possibility of a phase two if there is enough interest.
