Iconic band 10CC are gearing up for an Aberdeen gig later this year.
The band will be performing at the Music Hall on Saturday, October 4, as part of their UK tour.
With 11 Top 10 hits under their belt, it comes as no shock that the band have sold 15 million albums alone in the UK.
Graham Gouldman, who will be leading the current line-up, puts the band’s success down to the quality and individuality of the songs.
Graham said: “They don’t seem to date; they are original, we never followed any trend, we simply wrote for our own pleasure.
“The fact that the songs are being played as often on the radio today as they ever were shows how true that is.
“The current band is a near as you’re ever going to get to hearing the perfect 10CC. Hit after hit after hit, it’s relentless. We show no mercy.”
Rick Fenn, Paul Burgess, Mick Wilson and Mike Stevens also star in the line-up.
Paul has worked with 10CC from the start, with Rick joining the live band in the mid 1970s.
Mike is also musical director with Take That, among other major bands.
I’m Not in Love - the band’s first number 1 hit - featured on Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason soundtrack, while Dreadlock Holiday can be heard in the 2010 The Social Network about Facebook.
Other hits include Donna, Art for Art’s Sake, Good Morning Judge, The Things We Do For Love, I’m Mandy, Fly Me, Life Is a Minestrone, The Dean and I and The Wall Street Shuffle.
Tickets for the gig are now on sale online at aberdeenperformingarts.com, by calling 01224 641122 and at Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall and His Majesty’s Theatre.
Fans can also watch 10CC guitarist, vocalist and founding member Graham Gouldman, perform a solo gig at The Lemon Tree, Aberdeen, on Wednesday, May 21.
