Young golfers from Peterhead narrowly missed out in the final of the 2013 Felicity Trophy.
Peterhead Junior Golf Team travelled to Banff on Saturday September 14 to compete in this year’s final.
Their opponents on the day were the host club, Duff House Royal.
Duff House fielded a highly experienced team containing members of the Scottish Boys golf team and last year’s bronze medal winner in the Scottish Boys annual tournament.
Fantastic weather and a beautifully presented course complimented the quality of golf being played on the day.
A highly competitive match ensued with holes being traded up and down between the teams.
The quality of golf on show was at times breathtaking.
Duff House proved too strong for the young guns from Peterhead on the day and their experience kept the trophy in Banff.
Having reached the semi-final of the Aberdeenshire Pennant, semi-final of the Off the Tee Trophy and the final of the Felicity Trophy in 2013, the young Peterhead Team can reflect on a successful season.
The Junior Team would like to thank those that have supported their efforts this year.
Building on their 2013 experiences they are all looking forward to a successful 2014 season.
