Talented swimmers haul in the medals at their home town meet

Peterhead Amateur Swimming Club hosted their annual Graded Meet at Peterhead Swimming pool.

Sixteen North East clubs competed in the day’s event.

Aberdeen ASC, Broch ASC, Alford Otters ASC, Buckie ASC, Garioch ASC, Banchory ASC, Stonehaven ASC, Upper Deeside ASC, Huntly ASC, Ythan ASC, Aberdeen Dolphins ASC, Cults Otters ASC, Dyce ASC, Bridge of Don ASC and Deveron ASC all turned out for what was a very exciting and tiring day.

Peterhead ASC had 10 of their qualifying swimmers competing for trophies.

It was a very challenging day of endurance and our swimmer raced in events of 50m, 100m or 200m of their chosen stroke.

antastic PB’s were achieved and a few medals completed the haul.

Lauren Thomson, Lauren Willox, Caitlin Davies, Aidan Low, Bobby-Drew Buchan, Blair Reekie, Erin Reekie, Erin McNeil, Benjamin Dougal and Briony Rollo all put their hearts and soul into their own events and supported each other throughout the day.

Medals were awarded to Aidan Low – Gold for 100m Free, Briony Rollo – Silver for 100m Breast and Caitlin Davies – Bronze for 200m Free.

Peterhead ASC would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended andofficiated for their involvement in making the event run smoothly, the pool staff for their support, our own parent helpers and officials and especially Linda Herbert for pulling out all the stops and delivering a perfectly run event and last but not least to our extremely dedicated and hard-working swimmers who are a credit to us all.
