Two of Peterhead Amateur Swimming Club’s young swimmers headed north to Inverness this past weekend to compete at the North District Age Group Meet.

With a total of 16 swims between them over two days, it was sure to be a hard weekend.

On the first day there was great success with PBs achieved, most noticably that of Aidan Low who took 17 seconds off his 400m IM.

Aidan gained a silver medal in the 100m free and Elaine Murray broke her own club record in 200m backstroke.

Both swimmers earned places in 50m finals with Aidan triumphing with bronze in the 50m fly.

Day two started off well with Elain breaking the club record in 200m freestyle.

Aidan broke 30seconds in the 50m freestyle which gained him a place in the finals where he picked up gold for his effort and determination.

What an end to another great weekend for the Blue Toon club.

Well done to both swimmers!
