A Peterhead businesswoman will be taking to the streets of London next weekend in a bid to raise cash for charity.
Morag Thain Beagrie, who owns Dressage in the town’s Chapel Street, will be taking part in her third London Marathon, having raised more than £12,000 in the past two years.
Morag (42), says she is looking forward to the challenge once again this year and is hoping to improve on her previous times.
“This is the third year I will have run the marathon, with my first time having been five hours and 25 minutes, improving to four hours and 55 minutes last year.
“I’m not going to say I will beat last year’s time, but it would be nice,” she said.
“This will probably be my last London Marathon so I’m hoping to raise plenty of money for my charity this year which is Heart UK.
“I raised more than £6,000 on the previous two occasions, the first for lymphoma and leukaemia research and the second for JDRF, so hopefully I can equal or better that this year.”
