On Sunday 2nd August 19 members of Jogscotland took part on the inaugural Railway Relay race from Peterhead to Ellon.

The race involved teams of three, four or five members jogging the 27 miles between Peterhead and Ellon on the Formartine and Buchan Railway over nine legs of varying distances.

On what turned out to be a day of fine weather this charity fund raiser was enjoyed by all.

Many club members, both individually and as teams are now looking to the BRG Coastal Challenge which will be held on Auust 22.

The race starts in Fraserburgh and finishes in Gamrie, taking in the coastal villages of Sandhaven and Rosehearty en-route.

Walkers, runners and cyclists are encouraged to sign up for the race, which is now in its ninth year.

Walkers start the event at 10am, runners at 12 noon and cyclists at 1pm.

Peterhead Jogscotland is for all abilities and everyone is welcome to go along any Monday or Wednesday night at the town’s Catto Park starting at 6.30pm.

The new session starts on Monday, August 24.
