Bright sunshine and a lack of rainwater did not make the conditions perfect at Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery.
The sun drove the fish deeper and they are still taking lures fished on intermediate lines while also being tempted by wet and dry flies.
The best recorded catches this week fell to J. West, Fraserburgh (25 fish, cat’s whisker, buzzers); A. Murray, Gardenstown (23 fish, cat’s whisker, yellow fritz); J. Rennie, Buckie (9 fish, bloodworm); G. Murison, Fraserburgh (7 fish, sedge, lures); M. Rawding, Fraserburgh (7 fish, bunny leech); K. Armstrong, Fraserburgh (6 fish, daddy, buzzers); J. Alexander, Huntly (5 fish, dry fly, buzzers); M. Troup, Methlick (5 fish, black wets); C. Field, Fraserburgh (5 fish, (buzzers), I Black, Turriff (5 fish, red buzzer).
The fishery is open from 8am til 10pm. For details can call Bob on 07980 999 006.
