Promotion for

stuartfield side

Stuarfield Bowling Club formed in 1962, is one of the many small teams making up the Buchan Association leagues.

Being one of the smaller teams, with only 17 members, it came as a bit of a surprise to many that Stuartfield finished second in the league this year and thus gained promotion to league one.

President, Stan Benn, describes Stuartfield Bowling Club as “a small club with a huge heart”.

The club holds hat nights on a Sunday and Wednesday evening starting at 7pm where everyone is welcome to play in a fun game.

Frequently as many as 12 players attend..

Other notable successes this year are a triples winning at the New Pitsligo tounament and a pair runners-up at the Scottish Week pairs competition in Peterhead.

There are several players always willing to enter as many competitions in the Buchan area as possible, and several have been successful in reaching the final stages of Scottish, Buchan and other local invitation tournaments.

New members are always welcome.
