A charity golf day held at Peterhead Golf Club in the summer has raised more than £2,000 for the diabetic unit at the town’s health centre.

The event, organised through Apex Church by James Morgan and held on August 23, featured a number of teams who enjoyed a fish supper following their round of golf.

In total, the day raised £2,105 which was handed over to the diabetic unit on Friday by James and Apex members.

James told us: “I myself am a diabetes sufferer and there are many in the church who also suffer from this disease.

“It was because of this that we decided to donate the proceeds from this year’s charity golf event to this cause.”
