Peterhead swimmers enjoyed success at the Buckie Age Group Meet Championships recently.

It was a brilliant day for Blue Toon swimmers Erin and Blair Reekie who competed at the event, and a great day’s swimming by both.

Peterhead swimmers competed in a total of five events with 4 PBs and one swim on PB.

The highlight of the day was a 13 second PB in the 200 Individual Medley for Blair who also claimed a silver medal in the 100m backstroke.

On the second day of the meet, it was another good day to match the beautiful weather outside.

All four swimmers - Caitlin Davies, Kayleigh Murray, Elaine Murray and Lauren Willox - put in a lot of effort inspite of the hot and humid temperatures poolside.

They managed a couple of PBs and most other swims on their times.

Huge Congratulations were expressed to Elaine Murray for getting a 12 second PB in the 200m Individual Medley which means she has now made DRP times.

Coach, Gordon Willox, said: “Well done all four girls.Keep working hard in training!”
