Deejays Nightclub League Division 1

Panasonic obliterated St Combs 9-1. After a goalless first half the scoreres included James Watson who netted a hatrick, Ryan Duncan with a brace and goals from Daniel Booth, Jake Leslie, David Gourlay. Daniel Simpson scored the visitor’s goal.

Balmoor faced Methlick and ran out 4-1 winners. Scorers for Balmoor were Marc Walker, AJ Buchan, Paul Rhynd and Andrew Hepburn and replying for the away side was Marc Lidgertwood.

It was a close affair between St Combs and Balmoor and this one ended with the home side winning 4-3. St Comb’s scorers were John Smith and Nicky Tait and replying for the away side were Mark Cordiner, Mark Walker and Michael Waddell.

Methlick lost 8-3 to Clinton Thistle. Scorers for the winning side were Jamie Martin netted with four, a brace from Darren Batty and one each from Simon Whyte and David Slater and replying for the home side was James Gracey with all three.

Soccerworld Scotland Division 2

Ardallie played hosts to Mormond Thistle in a league 2 game and won 1-0 make it five wins in a row and keep their unbeaten start to the season.

Rosehearty Thistle faced New Deer and the home side raced to a three-goal lead by half time with goals from Marc McLaren, Scott Sim and David Anderson. On 42 minutes New Deer were reduced to 10 men after Willie Robbie was sent off. New Deer did manage to pull one goal back through George Heatherwick penalty.

Elizabethan Link Up faced Invercairn and it was the away side that went on to win 4-1. The winning goals were scored by Michael Lumsden who netted a brace and the others were scored by Scott Hutchison and Jordan Gauld.

Invercairnbeat Peterhead United 4-3. The away side went two goals ahead before Scott Watt and Martin Anderson drew the home side level. After the break James Cardno and an own goal gave the home side a two goal lead before United pulled one goal back. United scorers were Simon Gemmel, Gary Buchan and Steve Nicoll.

New Deer had home advantage over Buchanhaven FC and it ended in a comfortable 6-1 win for the home side.

Brucklay Cup Q/Final

Buchanhaven Fc faced Peterhead United in what was expected to be a close affair. The home side led 2-0 at half time with goals from Kendall and McIntosh. United hit back with two from Grant to put the tie into extra time. United took the lead for the first time when a McLeman cross was headed in by United manager Arthur. The home side then took the tie into a penalty shootout when Munro scored. United won the shootout with penalties from McLeman, Grant, McAlpine and Smith.

Highland Cup 2nd Rd

Elizabethan Link Up lost to Bellslea 4-3. The away side went in front then the home side scored twice through Graeme McLeman and Keith Nicol. The visitors hit back to go in level at half time. Bellslea then struck twice before Whylie pulled a goal back with 5 minutes remaining but that was the last of the scoring and Bellslea go through.

In an entertaining game Buchanhaven FC lost 5-3 to Ugie United. The away side that go through to the last 16 .

Panasonic had an easy passage through to round three when they faced St Marnans from Moray Welfare. They went on a goal spree winning 11-2. The winning goals came from Ryan Duncan, Kyle Watt and James Watson all netting 2 each and the others were from Gavin Brown, Jay Watson, Shaun Cunningham, Jake Leslie and an own goal.

Faithlie United travelled to face Lossie Youths in another round two game and the away side had an easy 8-1 victory. Faithlie scorers were Roy Noble and Lee Lawrence both netted a brace each and one each from Matty Garden, Gary Clark, Daniel Reid and Andrew Whyte.

Holders New Pitsligo faced Moray team Aberlour and this one ended with the home side winning 6-1. The goals came from Scott Michie then James Cassie, Murray Reid headed in number three before half time. Raymond Taylor made it four before Owen Davidson headed the fifth and Raymond Taylor converted a penalty.
