The Blue Toon have extended their run of competitive games without a win to five after a 2-2 draw with Elgin City, writes Joshua King.
The first Highland Derby of the 2013/14 season was a match short on quality from both sides.
A close-range goal from former Peterhead man Dennis Wyness put Elgin ahead after 12 minutes.
The drama of the tie came late on with three goals in quick sucession.
First a poor back pass from new Peterhead signing Ryan McGeever let Craig Gunn in to put Elgin 2-0 up on 77 minutes.
McGeever was quick to atone for his error, heading in two minutes later to make it 2-1.
Then Peterhead’s man of the match Bryan Gilfillan poked home an equaliser on 83 minutes.
It was a frantic finish to a lack lustre game.
