Parkvale no match for an on-form Cruden Bay side

Parkvale were the visitors to Watson Park on Saturday in a PMAC Division One (East) League game on Saturday.

The visitors opened brightly, but Cruden Bay went ahead after six minutes when Cowe latched onto a long ball from defence and ran on to beat the Parkvale defence and lob the ball past keeper Gibson.

The visitors’ keeper did well to tip a Tait effort over before they drew level after 16 minutes - Barron on hand to slot the ball past Robertson following a Mackie cross from the left.

The Bay regained their lead just before half-time. Following a Glendinning free kick from just outside the visitors’ area a goalmouth scramble occurred after Gibson had parried the ball out and Findlay was on hand to slam the ball into the net.

The Bay went further ahead within two minutes of the restart.

They were awarded a penalty for a trip on Gibb and he made no mistake from the spot. Five minutes later they added another when Cowe did well to beat the Parkvale defence and slot the ball past Gibson.

The Bay went further ahead after 73 minutes after the visitors’ defence failed to clear another Glendinning free kick and Beddie was on hand to head home from close range to complete a convincing win.The Bay entertain Buchanhaven Hearts this Saturday at 2pm.
