Out of 670 schools which entered the competition, Mintlaw represented the North Region against schools from the other five regions in Scotland.

In the group stages the girls won 6-1 against Dalziel High School and 2-1 against Auchinleck Academy to qualify for the final against St Ninian’s High School.

Unfortunatelty they succumbed to a 5-1 defeat at the hands of a stronger and talented team from the Giffnock school.

Goals on the day were scored by Caitlin Matthews (5), Lauren Bell (2) Chelsea Urquhart and Jordan Ironside.

Everyone played well and deserved their success - they created an excellent impression with everyone they met and were a credit to the school.
