McAllister nominated for Player of the Year award

Peterhead’s Rory McAllister has today been named as one of four nominees for Ladbrokes League 1 Player of the Year.

The Blue Toon Hitman is the current joint top scorer in League 1, alongside Dunfermline’s Faissal El Bakhtaoui who is also nominated for the award, with 22 goals for the season so far.

The other players nominated are Dunfermline’s Joe Cardle and Cowdenbeath’s Greig Spence.

Rory’s team mate Jamie Stevenson was nominated for the same award last year but lost out to Morton’s Declan McManus.

The winners to be announced on Sunday May 1.
