Hermes started the second half as they had finished the first on the attack and two Hamilton corners in quick succession saw Madle shoot narrowly wide from the second.

A good ball from Whyte in 61 minutes put Porter clear but his cross was cleared for a corner which came to nothing. Longside made a double substitution with Bruce and Campbell replacing Park and Porter. Hamilton went close when he saw his chip shot come back off the bar with Thomson beaten.

A mistake in the Longside defence allowed Madle to score his second and his team’s fourth in 81 minutes when he slotted the ball past Thomson. Madle went close for his hat-trick minutes later but his shot came back off the post.
