IN THE Deejays Nightclub League, Elizabethan Link Up finished their season in with a defeat at the hands of Invercairn United.
The away side netted nine goals which came from James Cardno with a hatrick, Gilbert Patterson Jnr and Jordan Clark, both netting braces, and one each from Jamie Martin and Kevin West. Replying for the home side were Martyn Robertson and Neil Holland.
Clinton Thistle had home advantage over Faithlie United in their last game and it was the young away side that mastered the conditions and went on to win by 3-1. The winning goals came from Gary Clark with a brace and the other from manager Martin Buchan. Replying for the home side was Willie Noble.
In the Scottish Cup second round, Cheers had Westcliff from the Central Welfare League as opponents and it was expected to be a close game.
It ended with the visitors progressing to the third round when they won by the odd goal in five.
The home goals came from Stuart Whyte and Mark White.
In the first round of the Elizabethan Lounge Cup, St Drostans were facing Mormond Thistle with a place in the quarter-final against St Combs up for grabs. It ended in a seven-goal thriller with the home side emerging winners by the odd goal in seven.
Home scorers were Bruce Wilson, Ian Milne, Scott Watt and Shaun McDonald and for the visitors were Ross Brown, Scott Sherwood and Martin Smith
