Huntly goalkeeper Fraser Hobday has signed on with League One side Peterhead on 12-month loan deal.

Fed up of being in the shadow of Huntly’s number one, Andrew Pennycook, the 21-year-old has made the move to Balmoor in a bid to kickstart his goalkeeping career.

He will look to challenge the established Graeme Smith for a place in the Blue Toon’s starting 11.

Having turned down offers from the likes of Buckie Thistle, Hobday will hope this season brings more for him than warming the Huntly bench.

There is a belief that Hobday can go to Balmoor and succeed, opening the door for a far more prosperous end to his three year contract with Huntly.

The young stopper became an internet sensation in 2014 after editing his own Wikipedia page - turning it into a 3000-plus word epic.
