It was League business again on Saturday for the Bay when they visited Lewis United in The PMAC Division One (East).
The Bay had a poor first half not stringing passes together and rarely troubling the home defence; their notable efforts being a shot from Patterson from the edge of the box which rebounded of the bar and was cleared by the Lewis defence and a good save from home keeper Wojcik from Cardno following a corner.
The home side went ahead on the half hour mark from the penalty spot after Suime had tripped McKinnon; Pirie converted the spot kick; that being the only goal of the half.
It was a better display in the second half from the Bay and they dic d try to pressurise the home defence.
Patterson had a couple of shots which Wojick saved comfortably before he got the equaliser with a chip shot that was helped into the net by Davidson the home defence.
Although the Bay tried to add to their score they again rarely caused Wojick any major problems.
Following a contentious offside decision in added time against the Bay’s Cowe, the home side went onto the attack and gained a corner from which Pirie, totally unmarked, hammered the ball into the net to give his side the lead again.
Seconds later the Bay defence was caught napping when Fraser received the ball twenty five yards out and put in a shot which caught Bay keeper Leiper off balance and went into the far corner of the net.
The game finished a disappointing 3-1 to Lewis United.
