Bay enjoy win over Lewis

Cruden Bay were back in action on Saturday away to Lewis United in a PMAC Division One (East) game following a two-week lay due to postponements.

The first half produced no goals as a result of very few chances being created and no side being able to get on top for any length

However, the second half was much better. The Bay eventually went ahead after 50minutes when Porter fired in a shot from just inside the box.

The home side equalised on the hour-mark when Findlay tripped Davidson just inside the Bay area. Fraser made no mistake from the spot.

The Bay then created a number of chances before Gibb put them ahead again.

The lead was shortlived however when Murray of the home side latched onto a mistimed header from Arthur to lob the ball past Leiper in the Bay goal.

The Bay were not to be denied, however when Cardno scored late on in the game to give the Bay a well earned victory.

Cruden Bay are at home on Saturday to Newmachar United in the MTM Morrison Trophy First Round, kick off 2pm.

Cruden Bay: Leiper, Findlay, Beddie, Arthur, Ross, Stainton, Norris, Cardno, GGibb, Tocher, Porter. Subs: Bruce, White, Buchan, Fulton. Stephen.
